Welcome to the Georgia Municipal Water Rates reporting site.

This portal provides the ability for water rates to be verified and changed if necessary. It also provides dashboards designed to assist utility managers and local officials in benchmarking residential water and wastewater rates against multiple attributes, including utility finances, system characteristics, customer base socioeconomic conditions, and geography. The Georgia Environmental Finance Authority funds this resource for utilities in Georgia. The goal is to have data for visualizing rates and financial data for over 90% of the local government utilities in the state of Georgia.

Click "Dashboards" in the menu above to view multiple visualizations of collected water rate data, "Dashboard Help" to view more detailed information on how to utilize the dashboard visualizations, or "Current Rate Reports" to view the individual reported statistics of each recorded water utility.

The current dashboard displays water and wastewater rates as of January 2024. The rates survey is led by the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Please contact waterrates@uga.edu if you have any questions or would like more information.
